This puzzled me before I bought the guitar as I thought that the standard spec for the Class 5 had the covers fitted. When I asked the dealer about this they told me that this was the way it was supplied by Gibson. Does this sound feasible or are they trying to cover up something? CR9 Posted June 20, 2011 Share Posted June 20, 2011 Very possible. I have seen them in stores like that. A dealer can order small changes like that without it being a custom order. Also Gibson could have made it that way and sales called the dealer and asked if they wanted it.
