What exactly do you mean by "at a slight angle"? Is it left/right off center compared to bridge and fretboard edges? Or is it tilted compared to the bridge/fretboard? As an example here's the Bigsby B7 on my Riviera: On a close look it seems the B7 is slightly higher on the right side compared to the bridge. Actually the B7 is dead on straight (I mounted it myself), but the bridge is slightly higher on the left (bass) side. That is pretty normal, the action on a guitar should be higher on the bass side, as the bass strings are thicker and need more room to vibrate.
