banjo3
Hi, I'm having trouble identifying the info on this banjo. I specifically am trying to find out when and where it was made. If anyone knows about this I would greatly appreciate their help. Thanks!
Woerner
The Serial No. of your Banjo is #91537393 ? June.1. 1997 in Kalamazzo Best regards from Germany, Woerner
BobB
The Gibson factory in Kalamazoo closed in 1984. The handwritten numbers in the picture do not appear consistent with numbers that would have been placed on the instrument by Gibson. If you would email a full front view and full back view of the instrument to service@gibson.com, we would be glad to help you identify the instrument's model and age. Check the back of the peghead and the inside rim of the resonator. Those are the two places where you might find the serial number for this instrument. You should contact Gibson customer service directly. They do not necessarily constantly monitor this forum to answer questions.
