On this guitar Epiphone mount '57 Epiphone pickup humbucker instead of Gibson original 490R and 490T . Searching on web seems that range frequenquency working of varitone are the same both on Gibson and Epiphone versione of Lucille . Maybe I'm thinking to upgrade pickup of my Epiphone Lucille with the original 490R and 490T that have a low cost , you can see both at My link The question are two : 1- Is it true that two varitone works at the same frquency ? 2- Pickups upgrade is a suitale upgrade to a a better suond than the original pickups ? 3- It's possibile in practice do this upgrade with no mounting or electrcial problem ?
