fretplay
I could use a little help from fellow vintage 335 users on the forum please. At present I am using a Gibson ES330 made in 1966 which I like a lot. However the general consensus seems to be that a 330 is a 335s poor relation. I'm not sure about that, the 330 is a fantastic guitar but has it's limitations. So I thought along the lines of adding a 335 to my stable. so if I do that what do I buy? vincentw
330s are an entirely different animal in my opinion, and really nice guitars. I think Grant Green used to play a 330. Just get a new ES-335 plain top/gloss.
Aerial Man
330's are nice man. In my opinion gibson should be making more of these, and es125 reissues. But no weve got crap like firebird x lol If it was me, I would buy a 335 vos reissue dot. But no way would I loose the
Versatile
Yes to keeping the ES 330 Bearing in mind it's shared roots with the Epi Casino The ES 335 Dot in various configurations represents good VFM And as a wildcard...the ES 137 is a rather splendid classic beauty to have a look at.... V Hell yeah, then youve got a wider spectrum of semi hollow tones with a beefed up les paul built in for good measure. Not double cut away though so is gonna lack the slick high fret access, to be honest it's not really an issue once you get the hang of it.
