And they'll make it "transparent" until somebody's servers go whacky like they did a year or two ago. Or until some super-hacker from some government manages to do it in. I find it rather frightening, frankly. But... as you said, there ain't no choice. I think in ways it's a response to "live small, like in a beehive" we're increasingly seeing as our population grows. You don't have room for "stuff" so the culture is working to make "stuff" as irrelevant as possible. <sigh> Thank heaven guitars aren't entirely "stuff." But our recordings will be. Heck, we won't even have the music we "buy" in our own section of the cloud, just a reference to a master copy somewhere. It's an interesting world.
