nrand
I recently got my hands on a Carvel Surfcaster 12 string that has had its original tuners replaced by Kluson Deluxes. Mine are the Kluson model that have the combined name 'KLUSONDELUXE' running down the centre of the tuner casing, to the extent that only the letters 'S0NDELU' are clearly visible from the top, with the access hole taking the place of the letter 'O'. Other Kluson Deluxes I have seen have the two words sitting side by side, and fully legible. A quick google search of Kluson Deluxe Tuners' images will show the reader what I mean. My question is which were the originals and which are more recent? These appear to be older than the guitar itself, but given this is a 1990's guitar that alone does not tell me much. They seem to work quite precisely.
nrand
You got internet? I bet the Charvel guys know Thanks for your reply. yes I have internet. 'a Carvel Surfcaster 12 string that has had its original tuners replaced by Kluson Deluxes.' These are not original. These were common on Gibsons at some time. Hence my question here.
