zimmer32
Please can anyone advise what the correct Gibson replacement toggle switch is for 1990s ES295 reissues or ES175 1990s/2000s? All assistance appreciated. Many thanks.
L5Larry
The switches in Gibson guitars are made by a company called "Switchcraft". They are sold under both the Switchcraft and Gibson names (and others). There are three different types used in Gibson guitars, short/straight, long/straight, and short/L shaped. Generally Gibson hollowbodies have use long/straight version. You should stick a dental mirror through the f-hole, or pickup cutout, to double check the type you need. Some Guitar Centers sell "Gibson" branded replacement parts at the "accessories" counter. ONLY buy a Gibson or Switchcraft part, DO NOT buy an unbranded part from someone like Stew-Mac, Switchcraft switches are readily available on e-bay at a decent part.
