JohnC1 Posted December 23, 2011 Share Posted December 23, 2011 Hi, new member here from UK. I acquired a Les Paul 25/50 Anniversary just a year ago. Didn't know what it was at first (it's my first "real" one after several copies), but recently read about there having been only 100 of the 3411 made with a flamed maple cap. Mine is a tobacco burst and has a flamed cap ... but quite subtle and you have to catch it in the correct light to see the flame clearly. Can't help wondering ... anyone expert enough to tell me, or point me in the right direction to find out for sure? #3046 ... serial# 70879002 (#002 on 28 March '79 at Kalamazoo, if my understanding is correct). thanks for any advice/comments. Slim Chance Posted December 23, 2011 Share Posted December 23, 2011 Talk about fancy LP's ... reminds me of ES-355's. I think all the 25/50 Anniversary LP's had figured or flamed maple tops.
