I have an original late 80's Stagemaster, and while the SM-1 is not completely identical to it, it's on the same level in terms of quality. I have the Vintage White version with Duncan pickups. As a big fan of the late 80's Kramers, I'm very pleased with the new SM-1, 1984, and Pacers lines. I'll probably pick up a bullseye '84 later this year, too.
