carrwn
Hello everyone! Today I picked up a vintage Gibson case and I need help identifying it. I'm sure some of you can help. It covered in black tolex with 5 latches. It has a silver Gibson logo at the end of the top of the case. The lining is yellow. One of the latches is marked "USA Excelsior Stamford Conn.". Attached are two pictures. It is 4 inches thick and 41.25 inches long. Any info will help. Thanks!
j45nick
It's obviously for a small-bodied electric, but I don't know which one. Go on ebay, and look at Gibson guitar cases. (Musical instruments--guitar--accessories--cases--Gibson) There are always a bunch that are similar to this, and you can probably figure it out from the ones that are posted. BobB
Might be an SG case. Yellow lining could be from '60's to '70's timeframe.
pfox14
What's width of the lower bout section? That might help determine which guitar it's for.
