Fleece Posted October 10, 2012 Share Posted October 10, 2012 I recently replaced the Grover tuners on my Midtown with some Planet Waves auto-trimming locking tuners. Loved them after the first stringing, but they then proceeded to destroy 4 high E strings in a row. I'm getting a replacement set tomorrow, but if they mangle one more string, I'm giving up on them. I will then have 5 incomplete sets of strings that collectively cost more than the tuners. Can anyone recommend other locking tuners that will be a drop-in, no-mod replacement for my Grovers? The Planet Waves tuners dropped right in nicely, but I'm starting to think I'm willing to trim the ends myself. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
