nosbig
Hi All, Ive just bought a Chicago blue Standard and is alovely guitar except the tuning isnt as stable as my other guitars? This was made in 2011 and has hardly been played! Ive set it up and replaced the PC board with CTS pots and orange drop caps and it sing its head off. But I find myself having to tune it 2-3 times during gigs? This is my 33rd Gibson and everyone has been tuned before the gig and once again after the break? I can sometimes hear it slightly out even after say,2-3 numbers into the set? Any ideas?
Versatile
This sounds like a relatively unplayed guitar... So things would expect to settle down with time Probably unrelieved string tension at the head and/or tailpiece Graphite in the nut grooves can help, or widening the grooves(a job for a pro)... Standard strings are 10's....9's may not suffer the same way due to sitting easier in the nut V

Ive fitted a bone nut, fret level/ dress, t/r adjust etc etc. Ive never had this before to be honest. The last new guitar I bought was a 2003 R 9 and like all my previous guitars stayed in tune from the start??
Versatile
I see....lol.... To be fair, I play various guitars and mandolin and expect them to drift, often between songs... V
