Problem identifying and dating a Riviera, please help!

Do you think the "E" less pickguard is original?

It's a good idea to add it into the wikis, so I'd like to be sure

It's difficult to say if its original or not. The e can come off so it is likely its the original. It does have other alterations so It's possible its an aftermarket one.

The guitar does appear to be in good condition.if you paid sensible money it is a good investment as the values are down on where they were a couple of years ago. As the market reestablishes itself you should see the value appreciate accordingly. Adrian

something a bit like this? Albeit with a frequensator rather than the stop tailpiece? I think this is someone on the forums guit IIRC. i found in a google search. Obv photos will clear things up rather quickly, we're pretty good at this
