no_rex4u
What does he say they are? He told me they are from a Gibson elite. I have only heard of an epiphone elite. Just got an email saying they are the predecessor to the 490/498 series I am looking to replace my bridge pickup in my dearmond s73 ( similar to an sg)
cjsinla
I don't know anything about Elites. I'm wondering if anybody on this forum knows if Gibson made any pick ups without a patent number on the bottom since they started putting them there in the 60s. I know that the patent numbers were there through the 70s and into the mid 80s at the very least. I haven't looked at the back of any of my more recent pickups, 2010 to 2013. I saw some information on an SG Elate from the late 80's but it mentioned that the pick ups had coil tapping. That might suggest they had four wires and not two but I'm not sure.
