jannusguy2
Can anyone confirm what the correct tuners for this guitar would have been? I'm thinking open backed, individual Klusons with plastic buttons…..
plexi
There's no such thing as a 1941 Southern Jumbo, unfortunately. The model wasn't introduced until 1942. The earliest SJ's had three-on-a-plate Klusons, like this one: http://theunofficialmartinguitarforum.yuku.com/topic/161794/FS-1942-Gibson-Southern-Jumbo-rosewood-earliest-known-SJ

The earliest SJ's had three-on-a-plate Klusons, like this one: Those are the tuners that are on my 1842 J-50 but they would not be on a guitar built in 1946. The tuners used at that time had the rivets instead of screws. The tuners on my 1946 LG-2 have the double rivets.
