Duplicate Cert. Of Authenticity

You never know with Gibson. But AFAIK, if by duplicate, you mean to issue a second while the original is still available, no. They have, in the past, replaced a missing COA on a new purchase.

This may clarify - I just purchased a 1934 L-5 Reissue built in 1995. It has both original interior labels. The original C of A that came with the guitar is lost. Would Gibson issue another, or a duplicate, or ??

Thx

This question comes up occasionally. If you are the original owner maybe. But as you guessed in your OP, Gibson is reluctant to do this. But, you can always ask.
