MrNylon Posted April 1, 2015 Share Posted April 1, 2015 What Gibson Bass are you using? I use .50, .65, .85, & .105 on my SG Std. with no problems. Intonation is right on, and no setup required. I use SIT 50-105 SS Round-wounds on my EB3-L all the time. I've found that SITs sound as good or better than the DRs that I used to use; they last longer, go "dead" evenly, and they are relatively inexpensive. I've found that I prefer the 50's on the EB3-L, but still use SIT 45's on my LP and LP Double Cut. Due to more tension with the 50s, you may have to tighten the truss-rod a bit and check the intonation, but they will work fine.
