Bluesman732
I find my self needing to sell off my 1965 custom shop Firebird V Reissue, The guitar is in excellent condition. Pelham Blue. My left hand is getting harder and harder to use do to Arthritis. I paid $4000 for it new. I really hate to take it to our favorite music store and give it away. Anyway, any info would be very cool. Thanks.
sparquelito
Bluesman 732, What year was the re-issue made and sold new? I have the Blue Book information on all the Firebirds, but I need to know approximately what year it was manufactured. Serial number?

sparquelito
I do apologize. I was having a difficult time figuring out which Firebird V Reissue you might have there in storage, (based strictly upon my reviewing models and features in the Blue Book of Electric Guitars) when I realized that mine is the 14th Edition, which was published in 2012. I need to upgrade to the latest edition, I reckon. My 'guess' is that such a new Firebird will only have devalued slightly from the original MSRP. I did some checking around on eBay and Craigslist, if that helps any. Seems like you should be able to get $3,700 or more for it, if it's in really nice (close to mint) condition. Guest Farnsbarns
Because of the hike on new prices over the last few years I'd be surprised if you couldn't get what you paid, or very close. I'm with Sparkie (forgive me for shortening, maybe it'll stick!).
