I love my Doves too. I am currently down to the two mentioned in my post, but owned three more since. I owned a 1973, 1977, and a 1990 previously. I have also owned two J-45's, one J-200, and a Hummingbird. I also owned a 1970 Gibson 12 string Jubilee in my younger days.

I was wondering just how "Limited" my two Dove's are. 1. My 2016 Custom Shop quilted maple, with a Heritage Cherry (AKA Ice Tea sunburst) sunburst finish. 2. My 2018 production built Antique Natural top, with Cherry sides and back with flame maple. I know that Gibson made 100 all white Alpine finish, and I think they made 150 of my model. Any input would be appreciated.

I currently own two Limited Edition Gibson Doves, and would like to know just how "Limited" these two guitars are. 1. 2016 Custom Shop quilted maple with Heritage Sunburst (AKA known as Ice Tea burst) front back and sides. The seller said there were only 40 made. 2. 2018 Antique front, Cherry back and sides on flame maple. I believe they only made 150 of this model. This one was made in regular production. I think they only made 100 all Alpine White of this model in the Custom Shop. If anyone knows, I would appreciate it.

Hello Everyone, I have been a player and collector of Gibson acoustic guitars for over 55 years. My first was a 1964 J-45. My second was purchased by my intended bride was a 1970 12 - string Jubilee. My third was a 1990 Dove. The next was a 2018 Limited Edition Dove. Next was a 1997 Natural front Dove. My next one was a 1973 Dove Sunburst. Next was a 2016 Limited Edition Edition Quilted maple. The question I have for the forum is how many Limited Edition 2016 Quilted maple guitars were built by the Custom Shop, and how many 2018 Limited Edition Doves were built in the general production group with the Antique fronts, with flamed Cherry maple back and sides. I know the Gibson Custom made 100 Alpine white models, but uncertain how many Antique with Cherry back and sides. If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it
