The strap button on 335 style guitar is usually located behind the neckand certainly to me tilts the guitar forwards.
I changed my strap button ( I like the OVAL shape rather than a lock ) to the horn, same sort of position as on a Strat ...
To me personally I find it hangs better. and feels more comfortable ).
I carefully put a black plastic ( hole filler type plug the kind you fit in kitchen units etc to cover unsightly holes .....
its held in place with a bit of blue tack , so someone can replace it back there IF I EVER SELL THE GUITAR..)
maybe one reason why alot of people don't see difference is because they play sitting down ....ie bedoom guitarists.. whereby they tilt the guitar they way they want and rest it on their knee...
but certainly I noticed if standing up playing my Epiphone it just didn't hang right /not quite comfortable when playing standing up .
if it was a £20k gibson Gretsh. ??? but then would it worry me.. haha
