I can feel the difference between the Epiphone Les Paul they give you in the store to try out a pedal, and my LP Heritage Standard. I 'm not a collector, and I don't need (or have) $10,000 to spend on a guitar, but it needs to be built well.

Regarding R9 serial numbers. I'm looking at a Les Paul for sale, dealer says it's a 2011 R9. However the serial number is six digits, no R9 in front. A genuine R9? Thank you.
