  1. Hello Everyone! I am Randy Doyle from Newfoundland, Canada. This is a great resource for all things Gibson. Here is my 1957 Custom Shop Historic J200. Thanks
  2. Thanks for this information. Do you know of any reference models used for the other models? i.e. J45, Hummingbird etc. and where those guitars are, and/or, the owners?
  3. Hi folks. I am curious about the reference models that were used by Gibson to replicate these historic series guitars. I recall a while back I was reading somewhere about Gibson borrowing specific reference models of original vintage acoustics and then using them as the basis for these new reissues. I can't seem to find that information anymore and am wondering if anyone has any information? I recall actually one owner stating that their specific guitar was borrowed by Gibson and used for this purpose. I have a 1957 Historic J200 from the Custom Shop. It would be great to have some info on the actual guitar that was used for its reference. But, I am happy to hear any stories about the other guitars as well (J45, Hummingbird, Southern Jumbo, etc.) If you folks can point me to any other material out there, that would be great as well. Thanks. Here is a pic of my J200.
