  2. I have a brand new 1946 Gibson L-50 that is in need of some major cleaning. The guitar is in very good shape for its age, just a bit dirty and could use some TLC. There is the regular checking you would see on a nitrocellulose finish of that age. What is the best cleaning agent to use in the guitar? I've heard to stay away from water with a drop of dish soap and use naptha. But I've also heard that naptha is too harsh??
  3. Hey everyone! I recently purchased what is believed to be an L50 archtop, but the date is inconclusive. The number in the inside that I initially saw wasn't very clear to me, and then I discovered another by the neck block. Based off of the gibson logo script, I believe it might be late 30s? Not sure why I can't upload pictures But I can email them to anyone that might be able to help
