  1. Thats close.. these are the only markings on the guitar
  2. It has the small standard pick gaurd.. no serial numbers anywhere.. the only desernable difference is the mother of pearl on the fret board is square cut… the sound is fantastic
  3. I inherited an old gibson.. all i know is that i was told its a gibson jumbo and that it was purchased used from a music store in wisconson my guess would be between 1945-1951 by my father inlaw when he was 13.. i cant seem to take a pic thats small enough to upload
  4. I just came into possession of what apears to be that exact guitar.. the only difference being the knobs on the machine heads on mine are chrome.. it was given to me by my 90 yr old nieghbor whose yard ive been taking care of for the last ten years.. he said he bought it used when he was 13 and all he new was it was a gibson jumbo.. ive restrung it with bronze as im a finger picker.. the sound it truly amazing.. is there a way to tell the modle?.. like a southern or hummingbird?.. or value?.. should i take steps to preserve?
