  1. Man 2982 posts in 358 days... Thats averaging more than 8 posts a day every day for almost an entire year... Dang man... Get out and enjoy the world...
  2. I have shipped about 10 guitars overseas... ( US to Europe and AUS and NZL) Really the only way to ship is to use USPS priority mail international: You can get postage rates here: http://www.usps.com/tools/calculatepostage/welcome.htm?from=home_header&page=calculatepostage Its going to cost about $100 to UK If you use ebay, you can automatically generate your postage via paypal. Thats very nice and convenient. So, what you will get from USPS or Paypal is 4 customs forms. One copy is for you and the other 3 will go into one of those plastic sleeve things you paste onto the box. Be sure to sign all of the forms and make sure you descibe your contents on all 3 forms. I no longer wait in line at the post office to do this because I know the drill so well.... I just drop off the box... Waiting in line at the post office sucks... I especially hate it when people waste my time and the post office's time doing things they could have done so easily at the automated stations or online....;) ;) OK stop my rant... But if you want to feel more comfortable about the whole thing, go to the post office and make sure you have done everything correctly... However, I would still recommend buying your postage online since it is a lot cheaper to do so...
  3. A-la Gretsch jet.... http://shrinkster.com/12hk Another one http://shrinkster.com/12hl
  4. I own an elitist dot... Sounds, plays, looks, and feels just like an ES-335... It should be mentioned that I installed Gibson 57 Classics...
  5. I used to own an Epi Rivieria with mini buckers... I replaced the stock pups with Gibsons and I really couldn't tell any difference.... IMHO, the stock minin buckers on that guitar were very good...
  6. I agree... I actually didn't do any of these mods... I bought it used just the way it is now (and in the photo)... The only advantage I may have is (maybe) slightly better tone with the Gibson pickups and the hum cancelling of the P-100s. But really no significant advantages IMHO to the stock guitar...
  7. Well I think some of them have 490r/498t and some have burstbuckers... So we are both correct. http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Gibson-Custom-Shop-Les-Paul-Custom-All-Mahogany-Electric-Guitar?sku=482521 http://www.gibsoncustom.com/flash/products/lespauls/lpcustom/LPCustom.html http://www.music123.com/Gibson-Custom-Les-Paul-Custom-Electric-Guitar-517110-i1149168.Music123
  8. I love the 490R... Its the same pickup they put on LP customs... I could be biased though... Since I think Gibson make the best pickups.... Don't know anything about the phat cat...
  9. I have this one with Gibson P-100s, Byrdland Tailpiece, and flatwounds. It produces a great jazz sound. I have owned it for at least 3 years now and very happy with it. Excellent action and sound.
  10. The Ibanez artcores are very nice.... It used to be that the distance from high E to low E was about 1/8" less than Epi/Gibson... And that drove me nuts having to adjust to a different string distribution... That was the only thing that prevented me from having one... But they have changed that... The Artcores now have a string spread the same as the Epis/Gibsons.. And now, I would consider buying one... I actually prefer the AS93 and AS73 to the Chinese Epi Dot... I think they have better pickups and look better than the dots... And they cost about the same...
