I was at a vintage guiatr shop in Seattle and they did some work on my alpine white epi (see pg 13 at bottom) of this forum. According to epi/gibson book,they never made alpine White Sheratons in 88. I assumed by the serial, which is near yours anf the folks that sold it to me that it was an 88 but it appears that may not be so. Getting definitive info has been very hard. Ours are very close except color. The font on the headstock is the same as well as the E on the pickguard. Havent seen ANY others like it and I havent seen a single whiote epi like mine. Lots of ones similar. I have a couple of shops diggine up more info.

I am the owner of what I believe to be a Sheraton I from the mid 80's. At least that is what I was told. Hopefully folks much more educated on the matter can help me figure it out. The sticker on the back of the headstock is 881100610. Its been in my possession for over 10 years and I bought it used. There is no sticker in the f hole. I'm pretty sure that it isn't a Sheraton II because they don't seem to have the "BY GIBSON". This is an assumption on my part. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am strongly considering selling it since I dont play live like I used to anymore and its been sitting in the closet for the last 3 years. From what I can tell in this thread, this is probably an 88. Thanks in advance. Rob
