[Taming Muddy Sounding Pickups]

I thought the 47 sounded the best clean and distorted, but I prefer to let the bass guitar handle the lows. No mods sounded more like the Metallica-Justice album with too much lows that covers up the bass in a band. I think you made the right choice. Rock on!
