  1. Just putting this out there to anyone interested according to Amazon, AMS has six 1962 Sheratons left in stock.
  2. Really sorry to hear that. I almost didn't buy my Sherri because I read this thread first, learning about the problem guitars everyone here ended up with. But it was too tempting not to pass up either. I know how it feels. I went through it with an accoustic/electric I pre-ordered some years back. It was damaged from shipping and no more were available because it sold out fast. I wanted to keep it so I opted to see if my local luthier could repair it. A few of the bracings and struts were broken as well as the impact damaged to the body. It would've cost too much to fix it, a lot more than what I paid for it. So I waited, and waited for a new one after returning it. They never restocked it and by then I lost interests in trying to acquire another one. Ended up buying an Epi Les Paul Custom instead. (Solid guitar, but had a lot of cosmetic blemishes in the paint with 'bleeding' in the binding.) Here is hoping you get it soon and without any of the issues.
  3. My '62 reissue Sheraton in natural arrived yesterday from AMS. The finish was on point! :) I’d say for mine it was 98.99 percent near perfect. Not 100% because a few screws holding the Frequensator to the body have been screwed in at a bad angle – not flushed. Other than that the finish and binding was spot on. It’s just a gorgeous looking guitar! Nashville did a great job setting up the action out of the box. The Guitar has proper height, no fret buzzing, and good intonation, adjustments not needed. Frets were nice, smooth and even…nothing felt rough or high. The strings are fresh and sounded good. I would think these are Gibson’s stings all things considered. Normally, I’m a GHS Boomer customer but these strings are very nice. My guitar is surprisingly well made coming out of China. This is a nod in the right direction to Epiphone’s credit over the past 5 years. My first Epiphone was a Les Paul Custom that had quite a few cosmetic blemishes in the paint with ‘bleeding’ into the binding, other than that it was a solid build guitar. My Sheraton is seems well put together. If I have to grade mine, I'd give it a solid ‘A’. This 50th Anniversary '62 Sheraton is a keeper (at least mine). ;) Everything was included and documented as advertised, nice case too. Oh, and if you are curious I have no. 34 out of 1,962! SWEET!
  4. Excited, it's N.G.D (new guitar day)!!
