    I've played new junk..........I've played old junk.......

     

    I've played good new..........I've played good old...........

     

     

     

    Year doesn't matter to me........how it plays does. If it's great.....go for it..........if it's not, walk away......year does not matter.

    thanks. its an epiphone case. couldn't just leave it in a bag and could afford to drop another 200 clams on a gibson case.

     

     

    I was in the same situation on eh LP Special I just picked up. Not a bag fan and didn't want to spend that much on the gibby case, so I too chose the epi case.

     

    No shroud and only one neck support (one end of the tool box instead of both ends), but for the money, it fit the guitar perfectly, is plenty safe, and a good deal.

     

    As mentioned above, I don't mind the epi logo as it may deter theft.....lol. Used to work for a PA and Lighting company who always bought used produce trucks and left the produce company logo on them. I asked why they never put their logo on them and was told "Cause no one steals a truck full of lettuce outside a club at 2AM".......same idea here.

    I have a very nice Hercules stand. Seems strong rugged, etc.......but as stated above.....all mine live in cases.

     

    I use my stand while playing so that if I need to put the guitar down, it is safe, not in a position to slip off the bed, etc. It might hang on the stand for an hour or two at a time, but when I'm done for the night, it's back in the case.

     

    I'd love to have a wall full of hangers so my stuff could be out and seen, but not worth the damage to me.

     

    I'd rather deal with all the cases then have damage.
