Dude, some might say a Gibson Les Paul Tribute is just a cheapo Gibson that is not a proper Les Paul. Oh wait, you own one of those. You put binding on it to make it look like a real Les Paul, so why not buy a 'proper' Gibson? Could it be you can't afford one? Guess what, Gibson Les Paul Tributes are never going to be collectors items, so why mock people who like Epiphone guitars?
Megafrog, congrats on guitar number 100! Hope you enjoy the RD. I loved the look of his Epi LP Artisan.
If you want to talk about my Gibson Les Paul here is the link :

I use a wide leather strap that is not sewn, just a straight piece of leather with a ruff rawhide underneath side, and that eliminated most of the dive on my SG's. I find that Epi G400's are way worse with neck dive than their Gibson counterparts.

This would be a real problem for me as I do sustain the E string to the extreme beyond the point shown at times. But my guitars with bound necks have the fret going well over the binding. If you only play chords this might not be a problem. I would never buy a guitar that was made like this..
First time is see that

My favorite, Le Rafale !

I prefer the ABR-1 design and with the Gibson ABR-1 strings don' t touch the bridge
-
My 2017 Gibson Tribute is a great instrument, a very good guitar

I hate the big Nashville bridge, to upgrade your SG with an ABR-1 bridge check Faber, Callaham, TonePros, etc...
The cheapest and the best solution is using Philadelphia Luthier Tools conversion studs with a real Gibson ABR-1 bridge.
I choose black because the Gibson is Trans Black ,
NEW ! Nashville studs made for the Gibson ABR-1 Bridge:
An SG '61 Ri made before 2003 has a Gibson ABR-1 bridge and nickel hardware.

My Epi SG - G400 Pro does not neck dive. Not sure if the strap locks is original but they were on the guitar when i bought it. However, I don't use the original nylon strap. I use an Ernie Ball nylon strap.
An Epiphone G400 without neck dive, IN-CRE-DI-BLE , your Epi will become collector ...

You need a Gibson Les Paul '50 Tribute
1950 neck profile should be great for you.
Those Gibson Les Paul Tribute are great guitars, soft price, no upgrade needed.

Have a look to 920D, Switchcraft and CTS components :

Controls on a guitar work like a preampli, very low current. level control and -6 dB/octave passive crossover. That kind of circuit work very well on a PCB, no problem. For service only this is not the best choice

???
Buy 4 CTS potentiometers and 2 PIO capacitors.

Scraped binding, by any other name, has existed for a long time. Whatever this clown did with his guitar is a joke, so yeah, it's fake binding on a neck heavy Gibson.
The eyerolls you bring are headache inducing.
rct
Yes, yes, of course ... you are very funny LOL

What do you think about this faux binding ?
Yes, this is a faux binding, the finish is sanded, the guy put a layer of glossy lacquer and finished with buffing.
The Les Paul is a 2017 Tribute .
