The 2 Birds both had it – in spite of the year-difference. Guess this '68 ex. was from before the big box-change, but I don't know. It just sounded uninhibited and bold – better than my SJ from that same year. Have to say the prize went to those 2 plus the J-50 (unfortunately with the narrow nut) and Mr. Walnut. A high-price instrument of towering quality and enigma. Went home for a private kitchen-jam that rolled on a few hours after midnite. Extremely satisfied with the feel and soul of my own collection. Btw. had a chat with the energic Wildwood-demonstrator, we know so well. Suddenly he stood in front and I went over and shook his hand. A nice fellow, , , , , , , , , , , but he isn't aware of our Board !?
