EvoRider
What is the ohm output on a Angus Young sig. Gibson pickup suppose to be?
EvoRider
13.5 k ohms Do you have one and think it is not a AY or do you have one and it is not reading what you think it should read? I am an electrician and resistance changes with temperature. When the temp goes up so does the resistance, but it won't go up that much. Now there are of course tolerances with resistances. If it is supposed to be 13.5 k and it reads 13.2 or 13.7 we are fine here. Like I said it was checked when it left the wind shop in probably a climate controlled area and now it could be ohmed out in a guitar shop or a hot club or a cold bedroom, so it can change a little. I am getting a 9.4 and on Gibson site says it should be around 9.2 The reason I am asking is I sent one to Gibson for repair and mine had a 4 conducter wire. The one they sent me back has only one wire and it is braided. and it was not in a sealed bag or anything. I am just wandering if they may have mixed them up and sent me a different pickup. is there any way to tell from looking at the outside??
