It's difficult to say for sure, but it *looks like* it could be made with the 'sycamore' maple that they built the early maple guitars out of, starting in 1989, and likely continuing into at least a part of 1990. The J-200 and J-100 models of this early 90s era from Bozeman are seen more often than the Doves, and to see a nice one in Belfast, that could be pretty unusual, to say the least!
