Is My 1936 J35 Trojan...Really an Oddball?

String-along

Recommended Posts

I have been trying to find out if there are any other '36 Trojan guitars out there with scalloped bracing and tone bars...or is mine an anomaly...an oddball model? I am sure your collective and extensive knowledge is certainly more likely to have success with this quandary than I have managed to on my own. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dave

Here are photos of my guitar with scalloped bracing and a typical '36 Trojan with non-scalloped bracing:

The conventional wisdom is that they were made with scalloped tone bars but not bracing. There is, however, supposed to be one known exception to that rule.

So is this the same guitar that is that exception that was posted about over at the UMGF?

Here is the thread.
