SG Special p90 conversion updates

Hello all,

Several years ago I posted pics of my wine red SG Special just after it had been converted to p90s. It turned out that the spacing between the pickups was wrong, so yesterday another home made pickguard was cut out and also a vibrola, witch hats , 2 ply trussrod cover and nickel Kluson small button tuners with conversion bushings were installed.

I've always wanted a late 60s SG special so this is the closest I can get :) All that's left to do is install an ABR-1 and replace the witch hats with the model with the correct inserts (I bought the wrong ones ](*,) )

Here's a quick picture - I'll post more when I have access to my DSLR.

Any comments welcome!

Cheers,

I've been looking for a late 60s special too, hopefully Gibson will

release a modern version, the nearest was the Pete Townshend model in 2002.

Just a small nitpick, it should have a wraparound tailpiece to be

a genuine 1966 - 1971 model.
