TC52 Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Recently picked-up a 2011 Gibson ES-335 Custom Dot Reissue and found that the pickup controls work differently than my old 1984 335. On the 2011, with the PU selector switch in the middle position, I cannot just turn on or turn up and hear just one of the pickups, unless both volume knobs have been turned up a bit. Is this typical of newer models or something set-up wrong? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks, TC

Thanks, TC Every single two pickup Gibby I have works like that; in the middle position you must have both knobs turned up slightly. It has been that way for decades.
