Hi,

I have just removed the wiring frame from my 2005 firebird Studio and replaced it with a stunning set up using Gibson Historic spec 550K audio vol and Gibson pure push pull 500K audio for tones for split and Series/Parallel with hist spec bumblebee caps on a pair of Classic 57 & 57 Super and it sounds as good as...well any Gibbo i have ever played, any way I digress....

The old frame has two types of pots. Both look like CTS and have Gibson branded top and in the brass on top and the serial numbers of the two types of pot read. X4 -44070028 & 25-44007065. Any help in identifying what resistance they are etc? also they have orange drop caps marked 223 mean anything to you gurus?.

Many thanks

Ian

Those may be Gibson part numbers and these are probably what are there, don't think they have one that ends in 65.

44070028 - short shaft "volume" pot, 300K linear

44070035 - short shaft "tone" pot, 500K audio
