hendersonswamp
Hey! I was wondering if anyone knows what model of Gibson this is? I've checked alot of places and have found pretty similar one's but they have two pickups instead of one. Any help would be really appreciated! Cheers. brundaddy
The pickup placement is unusual... it looks like an es 125-C (Cutaway) or es-150-TC (Thinline Cutaway). Cool guitar.
dougg330
Eli is rockin' a Gibson ES-225T - made somewhere between 1955 and 1959. The T was the single pickup model, with that wacky mid-body position; the TD had two pickups, in the usual bridge and neck positions. The 225 was a true hollowbody, with no center block. Generally thought to be the model replaced by the ES-330. Sweet guitars - I had one and was amazed at the range of tone they could produce. I found the pickup placement a pain, though - guess it was right where my hand wants to pick, no matter where I told it to go instead.
