JonnyLondon
Hi there I'm trying to find out what pickups came as standards with the R7. The reason being that I replaced them with Seymour Duncan Alnico II pro's (Luckily I kept the originals) but I'm thinking of switching them again as the alnico's sound too woody and lack a bit of bite. If I remember the originals were quite prone to feedback but other than that I can't really recall their sound! I'm after suggestions for replacements, I play modern rock but with more of a vintage sound, think Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighter style.... Any thoughts? Thanks!! Marshall Paul
If your after a more vintage rock sound, go 490R/498T. Or 490R/490T.
Flystringer
Those originals are unspotted, hence some feedback. If you can deal with that though, I think unspotted pups have more character.
