mr ug30
i have over 15 gibson historic les pauls,R9, R0,r7, r6, es 355, es 335, gold top l/p ranging from 1997- 2009. i have noticed that the rosewood fret boards on all gibson custom shop/historic guitars are of a much lesser quality. the rosewood fret boards on all my gibsons from 1997- 2009 have a deep, rich hi quality indian or madagasgar rosewood. the newer 2013-2014 rosewood finger boards that are on all gibson custom shop/historics have a ugly, cheap sheen look of inferior quality. the rosewood on the newer guitars is NOT INDIAN ROSEWOOD.i do not understand for the life of me WHY GIBSON is using this quality when they are getting nose bleed prices for NEW GIBSON WOOD. I REFUSE TO BUY ANY OF THE NEWER GIBSONS UNTIL THIS CHANGES. GIBSON has just increased their prices by 30% jan 1st. if gibson is going to charge this kind of cash then SPEND THE MONEY FOR THE MUCH HIGHER QUALITY ROSEWOOD. i would like the gibson administrator to respond. thank you
