Balls Capone
I'm purchasing a Gibson Les Paul Custom Silverburst from a guy who insists that is an '07 model, but from my research and the serial number, it sure looks like a 2011 model instead. Can you guys confirm for me what year this actually is? And would there be a big difference between the '07 model and '11 model? It's an absolutely wonderful guitar, I just want to actually nail down the year and find out if there is anything I should look out for. Balls Capone
Thank You very much! That makes more sense for sure! I was doing my own research looking at the serial numbers of many of the same models for sale all over the internet, comparing the similarity from year to year. All the '07's always had a serial number that started with a 7 and so on. The closest one to mine I found was the 2011 model, so that's why I thought it was a 2011. How did you identify it as a 2010 may I ask? I would just like to know what I was missing. Thanks, Pat
btoth76
Hello Pat. The two digits after "CS" tell You the built year. (In the 6-digit format of the Custom Shop serial numbers). Cheers... Bence
