MorrisrownSal
Hey guys. Trying to help my sister who is trying to restore an old guitar. She is looking for these tuning buttons, or maybe a single tuner with button. (Kluson Sealfast) Any thoughts? Here is a picture:
j45nick
Look like almost keystones, but not quite. Is that what you see here? Can you tell how they fit on the shafts?
MorrisrownSal
I can't... I believe they are the shade "catalin", and we're on some Gibsons in the twenties. I just found out there might be a Virginia gentleman named RoN Barnes who may make reproduction tuners. Thanks for taking an interest Nick. I want my sister to be happy and excited if this is a new hobby for her. She deserves it. If you know of guys that can sell original buttons, or reproductions, I am also all ears,
j45nick
I did a bit more research on those tuners, and they are pretty hard to come by, since there are apparently no modern reproductions.
