CarlosCastaneda Posted February 21, 2016 Share Posted February 21, 2016 Hello, now I have been planning on replacing the pickups on my Epiphone Les Paul, there is a certain way I want to install my pickups, it is by cutting off the old pickup from its wires other than un-soldering it and installing the new pickup and having the new wire join the previous pickup wire Via a Solder Splice Heatshrink (http://bit.ly/1L2wyE4) would this be a good idea, will it ruin the sound or anything?
