JohnLeeHooker
Hi guys. So a couple of days ago I brought an Epiphone Sheraton II for 500$. The guitar seems too nice to be fake but there is one thing that makes me think it is. At the end of the fret board there are 3 dot inlays. I have never seen a Sheraton like this but see it for your self. The guy is saying its just a mod. I dont think its fake because why would you fake an Epiphone? and its too nice looking. No finish issues it seems too legit. and even if its fake I still love it I just want to make sure. Some more info on the guitar: Guitar Info Your guitar was made at the Unsung Plant, Korea March 2005 Production Number: 1132 Un Sung Musical Instrument Co. Pin
That's not a fake. It is just a previous owner who wanted markers on the upper frets and got them put on. The dots is a cheap way of doing it. If it had been me I would have had "sympathetic" block markers put in.
Steve112
Yes, it looks completely authentic. Just a previous owner's mod. They're great guitars, congrats and enjoy!
