kevjwest
After a ton of research, I plan on buying a Casino Coupe at the end of the month. My only concern is the metal pickup covers ("Muddy," "filters off treble," etc. Plastic seems the way to go, but I've seen some inconsistency in the pole spacing at the neck and I'd like to know for certain what the measurement is before playing Parts Roulette online. So is it 48mm? 47.5? And is there a down side to the plastic covers? Thanks, KW
merciful-evans
I cant imagine there would be any problem with plastic PU covers. But I find no problem with the metal one either. I use my Coupe with clean tones only, and it sounds great that way. I prefer to use the neck PU, but can get pleasant treble tones also at all configurations. A full range of tones is available. I use it through a Fishman LoudBox Artist (acoustic amp) on the rare occasions that I gig it. In fact, anything other than clean tones is asking for feedback!
