harmonicchaos Posted February 29, 2008 Share Posted February 29, 2008 hey i'm thinking about refinishing my lp vm. i have some ideas but i'd like to know what some colors you guys would think would look nice. i'd like to make it one of a kind so rare color ideas would be nice but just regular suggestions are good too. remember it's mahogany so the colors will probably look a little different than on maple (at least with transparent finishes). i'd prefer to keep the neck as is since it is really smooth so probably keep the back of the guitar the same color and just matte clear coat it (worn brown but it is a little redder than typical wb is). any pics of your guy's customized guitars and stories would be appreciated also. any tips and suggestions are good. i figure this will be a good project for this summer if i do it. thanks!
