theflyingturtle
For the first time in my life I can see owning a 335 as a killer blues guitar. I know nothing about them though. Are they consistent enough in tone, materials, and build quality to buy sight unseen or are they as individual as Les Pauls and Gibson acoustics? Versatile
The ES335 is a wonderful thing..... For the complete newbie though, perhaps a staged approach is to be recommended..... Perhaps hire or borrow from a friendly dealer Play through various amps, preferably at stage volumes....in a band if available..... Take time before spending £2000....$3000+ V
Drog
To answer your question. Yes, they are all different in feel and tone. Necks vary from '59 large style to a slim '60's style. Try a bunch to find the one you are after.
