francoism
Hey guys! I've got ES-125 recently. I can see fon in backside of my es-125. But I can't identify what the first character is... it isn't clear. Can you see it? She have 20 frets, black pickguard. And pot number is 134542. So I thought it maybe was produced in 1955.. right? I searched 1955 es-125 in google then i found only 1955 es-125s have black pickguards (not toltoise) But I can't sure because of a blurred FON... Let me know her production date! ksdaddy
The pot is definitely 1955 but it is late in the year so your guitar could be either a 1955 or 1956. I can't see the first character inside but it might be either a W (1955) or V (1956).
retrorod
I would not rely on the pickguard color for dating. It may have been replaced at some point in time.
