Dallon426
Hi, just curious about this case. Are all of the cases brown? Also is there any difference between a j-45 vintage and the new Vintage? Thanks
62burst
Hi, just curious about this case. Are all of the cases brown? Also is there any difference between a j-45 vintage and the new Vintage? Thanks Ok. Once again, Google is your friend (except for when it is tracking and data-mining you,, which is always). Here is the gibson.com description for the New Vintage: http://www.gibson.com/Products/Acoustic-Instruments/Round-Shoulder/Gibson-Acoustic/J-45-New-Vintage.aspx. So, the New Vintage appears to have the non-torrefied Adirondack Spruce top. The J-45 Vintage model has torrefied top. And capitalizing the "V" in Vintage model is a good thing to do to avoid any confusion with an old (vintage) J-45. Many people really value those saddle-colored cases- they are bulky, but cool, and when the New Vintage and Vintage models change hands, a prospective new owner of the guitar should verify that the case is included with the sale of the guitar.
